OXFORD City Stars made light work of Str-eatham Redskins as they cruised to a 12-1 victory in Division 1 South of the English National League.

Alan Green fired Stars in front with his first home goal since returning to the club, and Grant Bailey doubled the lead soon after.

In the second period, Darren Elliott, who had played a part in the first two goals, was on target himself, and Shannon Taylor extended the lead with a cracking slapshot.

Yousif Abu Saada made it 5-0, and further strikes from Juraj Rusic and Andy Cox increased the lead to seven by the end of the second period.

With the points in the bag, Oxford could have been excused for taking their foot off the gas in the final period.

But there was no sign of this as Green scored his second to make it 8-0, before man-of-the-match Dax Hedges added No 9.

Taylor grabbed his second and the busy Hedges followed this up to make it 11-0.

Cox completed the Stars’ rout eight minutes from the end.

And although Streatham grabbed a late goal through Liam Rasmussen, it could not take the gloss off an excellent Stars’ performance.
