OXFORD MAIL GIRLS LEAGUE

Anna Jimenez led the way with a four-timer as St Edmunds saw off Cholsey Bluebirds 6-4 in a Under 13 A League ten-goal thriller.

It was 3-3 with five minutes to go before St Edmunds took control.

Sophie Tatford and Sophie Grimson also netted for St Edmunds.

Izzy Ellis and Heather Young bagged braces for Cholsey.

Kidlington defeated Tower Hill 3-0, with Jess Daniels (2) and Zoe Taylor on target.

Under 15

Charlotte Franklin scored five as Oxford City beat Tower Hill Vixens 7-0.

Georgia Luckhurst and Hannah Cherry were also on target for City.

Abi Currie, Kayleigh Fowler, Bethany Pratley, and Amber Hubbard grabbed the goals as Wychwood defeated Kidlington Tigers 4-0.

Lauren Major netted a brace to help Carterton to a 3-1 win at Highworth.

Highworth led 1-0, before Marta Dyet equalised from the penalty spot and Major won it.

Under 14

Didcot Casuals edged out Chinnor 4-3 after trailing 2-0 at the break.

Ellie Norton (3) and Pia Donaldson scored for Didcot, with Chinnor’s replies coming from Tamara Powell, Noor Bruegink and an own goal.

Georgea Winstone netted a first-half brace as North Leigh saw off Summertown Stars 4-0.

Substitute Jodie Luker did the same after the break.

Under 12

A super second half saw Didcot Casuals defeat Oxford Bluebirds 5-1.

Lou Chapple fired Didcot ahead from the edge of the box, but Olivia Brown broke free to equalise.

Zoe Adams, Paige Wilcox and a brace from Jordan Harris sealed the spoils in the second half, while Didcot’s Amy Fisher made a couple of great saves.

Molly Bishop was on target as Carterton won 1-0 at Banbury United.

Bishop was denied in the first half by a brilliant save from Ellen Shea.

But the deadlock was broken after the break when Annabel Light’s long throw found Bishop, who turned in the six yard box to fire home.

Tower Hill Vixens went down 3-0 at Swindon Town.

Amy Williamson had a superb game in goal for Tower, making a string of fine saves to keep the score down.

Under 11

Alice Ford and Megan Thorpe fired braces as Oxford City saw off Carterton 7-0.

Miriam Pritchard, Lauren Page and Rhiannon Weller were also on target.

Tower Hill Vixens went down 5-1 at home to Bardwell.

Alice Garay scored Tower Hill’s goal, but a hat-trick from Emily Young and a brace from Maisie Berry gave Bardwell victory.

Under 10

Phoebe Warner scored the only goal as Tower Hill Vixens won their derby clash with Carterton 1-0.

Her goal came two minutes from time when she won a midfield challenge and slotted past the Carterton keeper.

Benson United won 2-0 at Chinnor, with Eleanor Seares opening the scoring on 12 minutes.

Hollie Smith’s deflected shot clinched the points for Benson five minutes from time.

Wantage lost 8-0 at Swindon Spitfires, Eloise Hayward (4), Mia Mugford (3) and an own goal making up Swindon’s tally.
