Alex Thomas grabbed a late winner as Vale of White Horse Under 13s squeezed past Dacorum 2-1 in the English Schools’ FA Inter-Association Trophy third round at Milton United.
Vale opened the scoring after ten minutes when Mason Curtis fired home.
The Hertfordshire-based visitors equalised ten minutes later with an Alex Gilbert penalty.
But Vale dominated the second half, and Thomas drilled a shot under the advancing keeper ten minutes from time to secure a place in the last 32 at home to Luton or Brent.
ALEX Hayler scored twice as Vale of White Horse Under 11s came from behind to beat Woking 3-1 in a friendly at Oxford Brookes Westminster Institute of Education.
Harrison Brown gave Woking the lead with a brilliant solo effort, but Hayler levelled a minute before half-time with a fierce drive.
Alfie West’s 25-yard screa-mer fired Vale in front in the second half, and Hayler smashed home his second.
