Barrow joint-manager Dave Bayliss felt his team should have had a second-half spot kick for a push in the back on Jason Walker.

“We were denied a stonewall penalty,” he claimed.

“You come here and the officials are not man enough to make brave decisions.

“I thought we deserved to get something. We’ve played worse and won.

“We were more than a match for Oxford for the majority of the game.

“We worked our socks off and Jason Walker was absolutely outstanding.

“It was poor defending which cost us for the penalty, a simple long free-kick, and it put the goalkeeper in a horrible position.

“It was a dreadful bit of defending, but that was the only horrible part of the game for us.”
