Oxford's Pauline Withey reeled off four straight wins to take the Special ladies Championship at Reading.
She recorded 2-0 victories over Sussex’s Jean Brackenridge, Oxfordshire’s Sue Atkins 2-0, Surrey’s Denise Wills and Hampshire’s Chris Toner.
Meanwhile, Withey (9,000) starred as Oxford Ladies beat Northants C 3-2 in their C side Inter Area Cup first leg at Didcot. Sue Atkins (7,430) also shone for Oxford.
Wallingford C ran out 4-1 winners over Oxford D in their first leg. Mick Murphy prevented a whitewash by beating Terry Alder 5,370-1,580 in the final game.
