ANGLING: Roper's birthday mark
Linear bailiff Stuart Roper, from Witney, celebrated his 40th birthday by catching this personal best 41lb 08oz mirror carp, known as “The Birthmark Linear.”
It was part of Stuart’s two-fish overnight session at Manor Farm ,with the other being an 18lb mirror.
He used Greys x-flite 3½ t/c rods, Diawa tournament ISO reels, Drennan 12lb mainline, size-10 Gardner Mugga hooks, ESP striptease 20lb hook link, 31/2 oz Korda distance leads, and fished 11mm savory crab pop-ups from ‘Proper Jobs’ baits.
