Cowley Workers Club coasted to a 4-1 home win over Gladiators Club B in the Scotland Ash League Cup.

Dave Bartlett took the first leg with a good score of 9,540, before Neil Cunliffe levelled with a 3,430-1,660 win over Tony Harvey.

Cowley then ran away with the match as Mick Stratford beat Richard Stowe 2,600-2,140, Lewis Stratford scored 9,880 and Sean Stratford saw off Reg Johnson 4,680-1,350.

Section 1 team Democrats Club won 5-0 at Section 2 side Dolphin.

Bob Parsons (2,630), Richard Garrett (4,010), John and Jim Patey and Billy Hill, who racked up 10,430 completed the rout.

Section 3 side Headington Conservative Club went down 3-2 at home to Premier outfit Didcot Conservative Club.

Graham Mildenhall beat Jenny Florey to take the first leg for the Headington side.

Dennis Atkins (5,820) and Stuart Florey put Didcot 2-1 in front.

Dave Tooke then pipped Tim Jeffries 1,380-1,090 to secure victory.

Dave Gordon took the final leg, beating Sue Atkins 2,540-1,570.

Vikings Club ran out 5-0 winners at home to Masons A.

Mike Jones (4,100), Alan Oliver (6,330), Alan Lacey (4,800) and Bob Allsworth reeled off the first four games.

Gladiators A beat Shelley 4-1 at home with Dave Jarman (8,000), Keith Gardner, Bob Pincombe (6,670) and Malcolm Lee (4,480) taking the opening four games.

Alan Hart (5,120) prevented the whitewash.

Marlborough Club won 3-2 at Masons B, and Comrades Club were 4-1 home winners against Berinsfield Club 4-1.
