Horspath clinched their fifth British Premier League title in seven years with a 105 -71 win at Great Blakenham on Sunday.

The club thus completed the triple crown of British Team Championship, plus the South West Division 1 and Premier League titles.

Hammers achieved the win without their Polish riders.

However, with Oxford- based Matty Szymczak showing his true form, unbeaten Wayne Hutt having his best away showing, plus Steve Harris bagging a 20-point maximum, Hammers eased home.

They started started strongly with a 7-3 from Szymczak and Mark Boaler.

However, a gate exclusion for Mike Morgans brought the home side briefly into it.

Then three 6-4s and two 7-3s put Horspath 16 points ahead at halfway and they never looked back.

Mark Carmichael gave strong support with solid scoring throughout the order.
