Callum Mackinnon scored both goals as Oxford & Cherwell Valley College, playing under the banner of Oxford City, beat St Albans 2-1 in a hard-fought Midland Youth Conference Alliance clash.
Having picked up four points from their opening two matches, Oxford needed just 12 minutes to take the lead when Mackinnon netted from a tight angle.
Adam Felix and Pablo Haysham went close to doubling the lead, but Oxford did get their second goal of the game six minutes from time when Mackinnon shot home, via a deflection.
Two minutes into injury time, St Albans pulled a goal back through Paul Stephens, but Oxford easily saw out the remaining time.
