Lucy Gaen and Beth Melville won three golds each as City Of Oxford finished third in round three of the Milton Keynes & District Junior League at Temple Cowley.

Gaen won the 50m backstroke in 38.10secs, while Melville (35.59), took the 50m butterfly in the Division 1 gala.

The two 11-year-olds also won the freestyle and medley relays with teammates Alina Khan, Lucy Millington and Katie King-Smith.

However, Westminster stor-med to victory in the third round of the competition, with Staines runners-up.

Other Oxford winners were 12-year-old Georgina King-Smith in the 50m backstroke in 35.62, and the nine-year-old girls medley relay team of Miriame Mostefei, Maia Little, Ellie Millington and Annie Sharp.

Oxford notched up their seventh win when the ten-year-olds medley team of Eleanor McNally, Lily Seaward, India Mattocks and Isabel Rundle stormed to victory.

Second places went to the nine-year-old boys’ freestyle relay team of Robert Young, David Holland, Lewis Pearce and Lewis Gilchrist, and the ten-year-old girls’ freestyle relay line-up of Lily Seaward, Katie King -Smith, Isabel Rundle and India Mattocks.

In the nine years’ age group, there were solid individual performances by Olivia Webster in the 25m freestyle (18.26), David Holland in the 25m breastroke (24.40) and Ellie Millington in the 25m butterfly (18.90).

At aged ten, William Cross shone in the 50m breastroke (43.76) as did Lily Seaward in the 50m breastroke (44.69), and Eleanor McNally in the 50m backstroke (40.35).

The 12 years section saw Elizabeth Oliver impress in the 50m breastroke (39.96), together with Alex Chung in the 50m breastroke (42.37).
