North Oxford pro Lee Jackson was Oxfordshire’s best finisher in local final qualifying for the Open at Turnberry.
But none of the county’s trio came close to progressing through the traditionally tough competition.
Only the top four finishers at the three courses secured qualification.
Jackson finished joint 19th at Western Gailes on two-over-par after rounds of 73 and 71.
David Boyce, from The Springs, came joint 79th at Gailes Links as a disappointing second round 81 gave him a 14-over-par total of 156.
Chipping Norton’s director of golf Neil Rowlands finished joint 85th at Kilmarnock, with rounds of 76 and 79 giving him a nine-over-par score.
Chipping Norton’s Stewart Davies will be upgraded from ‘A’ to ‘AA’ class PGA Pro.
Davies has just started a five-year course to obtain PGA advanced professional status.
