Second-placed Banbury make two changes for the visit of Welwyn Garden City in Divsion 1 on Saturday.

Damian Shirazi replaces Chris Smith (unavailable) at the top of the order, while Luke Ryan returns in place of fellow spinner Paul Hill.

Banbury missed the chance to go top after being held to a draw at Slough last week, but skipper Ian Hawtin wasn’t too downbeat.

“We couldn’t get the crucial wickets, but we still managed ten points, which wasn’t too bad,” said Hawtin.

Oxford will hope to return to form at Slough after suffering their first defeat of the season at home to Radlett last week.

Aston Rowant add bowlers Paul Humphreys and Tom Needham to their squad for the visit of Wokingham in Division 2 West.

Captain Wes Morrick collected his third five-wicket haul of the season and his second in a row in last week’s defeat at Basingstoke & North Hants.

But he is looking for more from his team on Saturday.

Morrick said: “Last week was one of those games where we didn’t do ourselves justice. We would like to bounce back at home.”

Thame Town recall Ryan Murray as fellow spinner Steve Merrry has returned to the USA due to work commitments.

Despite losing by five wickets to Finchampstead last week, captain Rob Brooks was encouarged by their display, which featured 61 from Sammy Lachlan and 49 from Jaydeep Bhatti, who are more known for their bowling.

“We played well last week and posted a good total,” said Brooks.

“Their pro was the only player to get the ball off the square. We bowled and fielded really well, but it was not our day.

“We have played a lot worse and won before.”
