RADLEY’S men just missed out on second place after their long trip to Plymouth in Southern League Division 3 West.

They missed out by just half-a-point, but produced a number of victories in poor weather conditions.

James Broughton clocked a personal best of 1.03.8 to finish second in the A string 400m hurdles, and he also won the B string 200m in 24.3.

There were also victories for Alastair Duncan in the B string 400m (55.7 secs) and Andrew Potter, who won the B string 100m in 12.0.

Team captain Chris Franks was first in the A string discus, throwing 32.01m, and he also won the hammer.

In the B string hammer, Alex Ahmet recorded a throw of 25.17m for victory.
