STUART Hayes and Jodie Stimpson were triumphant at yesterday’s Mazda Blenheim Triathlon.
Hayes recorded a time of 1hr 1min 10secs in the Men’s Elite race, just five seconds ahead of Jonathan Brownlee, who won the junior elite event.
Aaron Harris came third, a further five seconds back.
Stimpson crossed the line in 1.08.24 to claim the ladies’ title.
Her time was 15 seconds ahead of Non Stanford, who claimed the runners-up spot.
Sophie Coleman was third.
