Headington made a flying start as they cruised to a comfortable away victory against Cheltenham Saracens in FTL Futbol Hellenic League Division 1 West. After five minutes, Craig Dean collected Olly Zaja's quickly-taken free kick and rifled home a left-foot shot from 18 yards, a slight deflection giving the home keeper no chance.

After Darren Smith had crashed a shot against the bar, Luke Cuff doubled the lead in the 33rd minute, netting from close range after Nick Johnson had headed down from a corner kick.

Cuff wrapped up the points for Headington in the 57th minute, racing on to Zaja's fine crossfield pass and finishing at the second attempt. With Headington keeper Francis Mapplethorpe finally beaten in the last five minutes, Shaun Pearce twice hacked off the goalline to preserve just their third clean sheet of the season.

Clanfield were made to pay for a woeful first-half display as they crashed 4-1 to lowly Cricklade After just eight minutes, a slip by keeper Chris Brain let in Steve Winchcombe to score.

On the stroke of half time Clanfield's Dan Bishop saw his free-kick crash against a post. But moments later it was 2-0 through Peter McGunigall.

Early in the second half, Clanfield’s Adam Webb scored with a header from Dan Bishop’s cross. They were unlucky when Mark Odom's shot hit the bar.

Cricklade made the game safe when Sam Reason scored.

Late, Winchcombe completed Clanfield’s poor day.
