Abingdon RBL A stormed to the top of the Premier Division after an impressive 6-0 win against Witney C.

Abingdon’s trio of Kevin Higgs, Jamie Saczak and Dave Noake proved too strong for Clive Burnet, Phil Smith and Julian Marks, as Witney remain rooted to the foot of the table.

New Club A moved top of Division 1 following a 5-1 win over their local rivals House Club B.

Ian Gee, Alan Mander and Justin Shepherd all won, with House’s consolation coming from Paul Larkins.

Division 2 basement side Highfield A (formerly Ashton A) recorded their first victory with a 4-2 success over Thame B.

Peter Fenn (2), Kev Leach and John Street helped close the gap on their rivals.

At the other end of the table, Alan King, Luke Purcell and Paul Moss were in fine form as New Club B demolished Eynsham B 6-0 to go second.

Cowley Con A picked up a useful 4-2 win against East Oxford Con A in their mid-table Division 3 clash.

Cowley Con’s B and C sides both won in Division 4 to stay in the top two places, while in the bottom division, Headington RBL B enjoyed another 6-0 whitewash – Riley H their latest victims.
