Oxfordshire's men will try to put last year's embarrassment behind them in Group 7 at Beckenham.
But they must also do so with an under-strength side.
After winning their first four matches last year, Oxon were adamant they had won promotion and celebrated accordingly.
But they ended up with egg on their face after a 7-2 defeat on the final day saw them level on points for the runners-up spot, but with an inferior winning percentage.
Captain Jon Maskens said that everyone was determined to make amends for last year, but was under no illusions of the task facing them.
"We have not got our strongest team out, but the thing with this group is that it is all about what players are available on what day," he said.
Jay Sexton, Mike Miller and Oliver Neighbour will all be making their county debuts, with regular players Tom Greenland and Paul Butcher unavailable.
