OXFORD Spires will host Birmingham Brummies when Oxford Speedway makes its return to the top flight for the first time in 16 years.

The Premiership meeting will take place on March 14 next year, with the regular campaign then scheduled to conclude in August, before the end-of-season play-offs which are pencilled in for September.

After the clash against the Brummies, the Spires then face back-to-back meetings against a Sheffield Tigers side featuring three-time world champion Tai Woffinden.

Spires are set to end the season with a trip to King’s Lynn Stars on August 22, before welcoming Leicester Lions to Oxford Stadium on August 29.

Charles Wright, British champion in 2019, Cheetahs youngster Ashton Boughen, and fan favourite Lewis Kerr complete the Spires line-up.
