THE White House successfully retained the Premier Section title when they beat Garsington Sports 3-0.

Knowing that maximum points would be enough, they easily won all three legs 25-20, 30-24, 32-19. In the third leg, they were on course to beat the record leg score of 41 when they hit 21 with their first four players, but they dropped off towards the end to finish with 32. Roger Goodall was in sensational form again, clanging off 16 dolls (4-6-6) with teammate Rob Bradford hitting 14 dolls (3-6-5).

Gladiators A needed maximum points to have any hope of the title and started off well at home to The George A, setting and winning the first leg 31-27. However, that was to be their only success as The George hit their best scores of the season and won the next two legs 28-26, 27-24. Top doll scorer Kevin Baker finished off the season in style with his seventh six in his 14-doll haul (5-6-3).

Section One champions Red Lion B Cassington lost at Rose Hill B 2-1. Top doll scorer Mark Poulter smashed off 15 dolls (6-5-4) to break the 200 mark with 202 dolls, but it was all in vain as they won the first leg 26-22 and lost the next two 28-22, 21-19.

There was a remarkable finish for the title race in Section Two. Chequers B and Red Lion B Kidlington went into their final games level on points, with Chequers crashing 3-0 to The Queens Head. The opening leg was tied 18-18 with Queens Head winning it on three sticks. It got even worse for Chequers when they lost the next two legs 22-19, 19-18, which meant the Red Lion only needed one point for the title.

Lion were at Donnington Club A and secured the title in the first leg on three sticks after it was tied 21-21. They then went on to win the next two legs 25-16, 20-14, with Steve Ward top scoring with 13 dolls (4-4-5).

Kidlington FC B took second spot despite losing at home to Rose Hill B. With the game nicely poised at one apiece, Rose Hill won the final leg 17-10.
