Witney United Football Club have signed a 'significant' sponsorship deal with Polythene UK Ltd.

As part of the two-year deal, the the Witney-based company will sponsor Marriotts Stadium for the next two seasons with the ground changing its name to The Polythene UK Stadium.

"This is a significant sponsorship deal for a club of our size with a Witney-based business who have a genuine interest in supporting their local club," said Witney chairman Steve Lake.

"The tie-up with Polythene UK is one I am sure that will benefit both parties equally and one we hope is the start of more local businesses backing their local club."

Polythene UK managing director James Woollard added: "We at Polythene UK Ltd are delighted to have closed this deal with Witney United and are proud to be associated with our local club.

"There is no better way to do this from our point of view than sponsoring the stadium and we wish United every luck for the forthcoming season."

FTL FUTBOL Hellenic League side Launton Sports have moved from Division 1 West to Division 1 East.

The move was rubber-stamped at the league annual general meeting at Carterton FC on Wednesday night.

The only other significant change sees Premier Division outfit Badshot Lea switch to the Combined Counties League with Reading Town their replacements.

The Berkshire club join fellow Premier newcomers Old Woodstock Town, Marlow United and Chalfont Wasps in next season's top flight.
