Yemi Odubade is set to make his 100th Oxford United appearance in the Blue Square game at York.

And the transfer-lister striker is just hoping he's done enough, with his sparkling performance against Farsley Celtic, to keep his place.

United manager Darren Patterson put Odubade in against Farsley partly because he knew the Leeds-based part-timers were short of pace at the back.

And he says he is fortunate to be in a position to be able to rotate his strikers, with Craig McAllister, Justin Richards, Matt Green and Odubade all vying for the two positions up front.

Odubade himself was delighted to get the nod over Green at the weekend, and delighted to take his chance, though there has been no suggestion yet that he will be taken off the list.

"Matt's a quality player. He's come from Cardiff and he's got me on my toes really," Yemi said. "I was glad I got my chance, and scored, and hopefully I'll be starting away to York."

Patterson is forced into one change tonight, with Luke Foster starting a two-match suspension and unable to face the club where he spent a spell on loan.

Matt Day is likely to replace him, as he did at Weymouth, with James Clarke coming in at right back, though Patterson has not ruled out changing the system to play 3-5-2 if he feels the personnel available would be better suited to that.

"We'll be going to York with all guns blazing to get a win," said United's manager.

"We'll take a few fans there, so we owe it to our excellent away support to give it everything.

"There's no question of the shackles coming off and us relaxing just because none of the teams we face now have much to play for.

"We're playing well, the lads are enjoying it at the minute and we'll be looking to get another good result. It will be a tough game. Luke's suspended so we'll have to have a think about whether we change the system or go like for like."

Another decision the U's boss needs to make is whether to stick with Eddie Hutchinson in central midfield, or give another opportunity to Jamie Hand.

York had three players sent off in their 3-2 defeat at home to Woking on Saturday and all three - defender Darren Craddock, goalkeeper Tom Evans and midfielder Stuart Elliott - are suspended.

And with the Minstermen also having several out injured, including Darren Kelly (calf) and Mark Robinson, who suffered an eye injury in a freak training ground accident, they will have only 14 players available for selection.

Josh Mimms, the 18-year-old son of ex-Everton, Tottenham and Blackburn keeper Bobby, will be in goal.

He was taken out of the team, to regain his confidence, after letting in nine goals in two games - in a 3-2 defeat at Stevenage and 6-1 hammering at Crawley - but York have no other option than to play him.

Big striker Leo Fortune-West, 37, who scored for Cambridge in their 2-1 win over United at the start of the season, will probably be on the bench. He is on loan from the Abbey Stadium.

Craig Farrell could return to the squad after being sidelined with a foot injury.

One player the U's defence will need to keep an eye on is Onome Sodje. The Sodje family have a history of scoring against Oxford United.
