OXFORD City Stars have signed Slovakian import Michal Oravec.
The 37-year-old forward has been in England for six years, and last season bagged 18 goals and 22 assists for Chelmsford Chieftains.
The signing sees Oravec reunited with Stars’ head coach Kenny Redmond, who previously worked with the veteran at Bracknell Hornets.
“Oxford City Stars have really progressed in recent years and I’m really pleased to have signed for a club that is going places,” Oravec said.
“Oxford were the team to beat last season and I’m looking forward to the challenge and helping the club continue to achieve success."
Redmond said: “Michal is a great team player. He has good vision, can control the puck and has a real knack of making special passes at the right time that create goals.”
“Having worked with him before I pounced at the chance to sign him.
“I’m sure Michal will be a top player for us and hopefully will inspire us to win some silverware.”
