JENNY Florey came from behind to win the ladies’ individual title at the Oxford & District League’s finals night, writes PETE EWINS.
Oracle’s Pauline Withey held a 1,370-point lead after the first leg, but her opponent from Donnington responded to take the crown 5,550-4,510 on aggregate.
Mark Trafford clinched the men’s competition for the second time in three years.
He beat Oracle teammate Ian Gordon 2-0 to secure a comfortable 16,910-2,860 success.
Trafford also won the player of the year award, but was runner-up in two other competitions.
He lost 2-0 to Alan Oliver in the Off The Spot singles, while Ian Moquet won the Premier singles 13,030-11,170 on aggregate.
