KIDLINGTON gave a superb second-half display as they beat Winchester City 3-1 in their Buildbase FA Trophy preliminary round tie at Yarnton Road.
After a goalless first half, the hosts struck three times to see off their fellow Evo-Stik South League West opponents.
Lewis Coyle opened the scoring in the 54th minute got on the end of a Tommy Franklin flick to bury the ball into the top left corner of the net with a great shot.
Winchester equalised following an almighty goalmouth scramble, Josh Harfield claiming the last touch.
With Lance Williams replacing a tiring Mark Janes, Kidlington pushed on.
And in the 77th minute, Lance Williams restored their lead when he powered home a cross from Darius Browne.
The hosts had other chances before Winchester’s Adam Tomasso was sent off for two yellow cards deep into injury time.

North Leigh’s indifferent season continued when they lost 3-1 at home to Wimborne Town in another all-West Division tie.
The Millers took the lead in the fifth minute when Michael Hopkins cut inside to the edge of the visitors penalty area and fired a shot that hit George Seacole and took a wicked deflection that wrong-footed keeper Gerard Benfield.
This was the high point for the home side as Wimborne equalised midway through the first half when striker Tobias Holmes beat two defenders before firing into the far corner.
The visitors took the lead in bizarre fashion just before half-time, when Benfield took a free-kick midway in his own half.
The ball flew towards the Leigh penalty area where Millers keeper Manny Agboola and Holmes collided, with the ball trickling into the net.
In the second half, Seacole saw a header cleared off the line as the Millers pressed for an equaliser, but Holmes settled it when he completed his hat-trick on full time with a shot into the top corner.

Making their first appearance in the competition for 12 seasons, Thame United progressed to the next round following a hard-fought 1-0 win at Mangotsfield.
The only goal came two minutes from time when Lynton Goss drilled over a corner and Dan West, under pressure from the home defence, forced the ball home from four yards, to the elation of the visiting fans.
Didcot Town went down 1-0 away to Shortwood United, the only goal coming from Jack Freeman in the third minute.
