LIAM Palfreeman was involved as England narrowly missed out on qualification for the Uefa Futsal European Championships.

The 21-year-old former Oxford City Lions star (pictured) made his debut in the competition as the Three Lions defeated the hosts 4-1 in Varna.

He also featured in a 5-1 defeat to group winners Albania and a 6-1 victory over Malta.

However, Palfreeman will play no further part in the competition as England’s second-placed finish in preliminary qualifying group D means they will miss the finals in Slovenia next year.
