CAPTAIN Kat Nutman could be in line for a return for Oxford United Women as they travel to Durham in FA Women’s Super League 2 tomorrow, writes MATTHEW BRUCE.

The midfielder has been sidelined since June with a knee injury, but has benefitted from a four-week lay-off since the U’s win over London Bees.

The 23-year-old has returned to training and will travel north.

“That’s the only plus about having such a long period without a game,” said manager Les Taylor.

“It has given some of our players time to rest and recover a little bit.”

With the exception of midfielder Katja Hakala, who is away in Finland, Taylor now has a full-strength side to choose from, following Riva Casley’s recovery from a toe injury.

But the Oxford boss has otherwise been left frustrated by the month-long wait to follow up his side’s first win in seven games.

He said: “It’s obviously frustrating, because you just get going and then you have a break of three to four weeks.

“But we’ve had plenty of training and friendlies against Coventry and West Brom, which have gone very well.”
