Oxfordshire had no answer to the class of Division 1 leaders Glamorgan as they crashed to a 24-12 defeat in their BDO Inter-Counties Championship clash at Bicester.
The game was all but up for Oxfordshire after the first day, when they trailed 14-4.
They fared better on Sunday, but another defeat sees them slip to eighth in the table.
Their ladies’ B side took another devastating defeat with their only win coming from Emma Everett, who came back from 2-0 down to prevail 3-2.
In the men’s B match, the hosts competed well, but struggled to capitalise on some tight encounters.
Of the eight games that went to a deciding leg, Glamorgan won seven of them to triumph 9-3 Man-of-the-match Kevin Lowe led the way for Oxon, whose other wins came from John Russell and Neal Russell.
Despite missing star player Deta Hedman, Oxon ladies A secured a notable 3-3 draw on Sunday, with Carol Smith taking lady-of-the-match on her debut and team captain Clare Bywaters.
Oxon men’s A started with a win from Jon Jukes, while Michael Kearns won 4-0.
Pete Smith came back from 3-0 down to win 4-3, with other wins coming from Ade Larner and man-of-the-match Pete Hall.
