With just one week of the Didcot & District League season remaining, three teams - Drayton A, Didcot A and Crown - can still win the Division 1 title.

Drayton kept themselves in contention by beating Abingdon B 6-4, thanks to Karl Bushell hitting a maximum and winning the doubles with James Lovelock.

Meanwhile, Eamonn Deeley won three for Abingdon B in their 8-2 win against RAL A who are still not absolutely safe from relegation.

Two other RAL teams top Division 2, although Drayton B could still oust one of them from the second promotion spot.

RAL B won both at home and away against Abingdon E. Maximums accrued to John Partington (RAL B) in the 8-2 home match and to Brian Freeman (Abingdon E) in the return encounter, which finished 7-3 RAL C beat Abingdon D 7-3, with Tim Pett battling to win three, including a 20-18 game against Pat O'Regan.

In Division 3 John Talbot and John Birkin went unbeaten as Howbery B beat Moreton C 8-2.

In the game of the night Birkin took the first two games easily against James Goldsby-West and led 7-1 in the third.

But Goldsby-West fought back to take it 13-11 and won the fourth 11-9, However, Birkin won the decider 11-8 It remains very tight at the top of Division 5 with Moreton H sandwiched between Abingdon M and Abingdon K who have yet to play each other. Moreton H beat Moreton I 8-2 with maximums from Sam Crowther and Tom Gray.
