EVENLODE, who beat Wallingford 7-2, completed the season unbeaten as they claimed the Division 2 title of the Wallingford and District Mixed League.

The pairings of James Fisk and Lillian Palister, and Mark Sheldon and Helen Clewley both kept a clean sheet.

The lone Division 1 match saw North Abingdon swamp Wantage 8-1, only Barry Jones and Tara O'Leary, scoring for Wantage.

As a result of a walkover given to them by bottom team The Park, Didcot Power Station A are winners of Division 1 of the Wallingford Three Disciplines league with an aggregate for 1632 points.

North Abingdon finished runners-up on 1475, Harwell were fourth on 1341 and Abingdon fifth with 1290.

Evenlode won Diviison 2 with 1651.

Natalie Ng, from Our Lady's Convent School, Abingdon, is the sole representative from the south of the county in the Oxon Schools' under-17 team for the inter-counties tournament at Nottingham University this weekend.

On the second weekend of matches in the Oxon Schools and Junior Championships, Emma White, from Abingdon, and Phoebe Wilkinson, from Boars Hill, took two county titles each at under 11 level.

Kathryn Wilson, of Abingdon garnered two under 15 titles, including a 21-18 win over Ng. Pete Browning of Abingdon was under-25 singles runner-up and doubles winner.

On the schools front, King Alfred's Yuting Zhou won the under 19 singles Poppy Bensberg (Didcot Girls) took the under 15 singles, Annie Blackman (Didcot Girls) the under 13 singles.

Max Flynn (South Moreton) and Kezia Lawson (Stadhampton) were under-9 singles winners.. Doubles successes were scored by Timothy Middleton and Alex Smith (Abingdon) (under 19), Cain Reddick and Harry Brewis (Chilton) (Under-13).
