Wealdstone 4, Banbury Utd 0
BANBURY'S seven-match unbeaten run in the Premier Division came to an abrupt halt at the relegation-haunted London outfit yesterday.
Wealdstone piled on the pressure early on, with Banbury keeper Alan Judge, in for youngster Joe Murrell, saving from Theo Robinson and Dean Papali.
And on 35 minutes, Robinson glanced in Graeme Montgomery's free-kick to give the Stones the lead.
Two minutes after the break, Wealdstone doubled their lead through Papali.
Banbury, unable to play their former Wealdstone striker Matty Gooderick due to an agreement between the two clubs, and without the injured Howard Forinton, struggled up front.
But they almost got back in the game minutes later, when Andy Baird was foiled by a brilliant last-ditch tackle from Andre Dellissier as he was about to shoot.
On 72 minutes, it got worse for Kevin Brock's side when Papali got a second.
Late on, Banbury's misery was compounded when Robinson completed his brace.
