BILLIARDS: Leaders Fieldside hit back to win
Bob Chivers and Paul Robinson overcame big handicaps as Division 1 leaders Fieldside saw off Headington Conservative Club B in the Gentworks Oxford & District League.
Roger Tomlin (+60) beat Mike Chapman (+60) 150-120 to put Headington ahead.
Then Chivers (-40) produced a 48 break as he beat Doug Baker (+80) 200-157, and Robinson (-70) defeated Bob Hayward (+80) 200-168.
Results: Thame B 3, Cowley Con B 0; New Club 1, Ashton 2; Fieldside 2, Headington Con B 1; Headington Con A 2, Riley A 1; Abingdon Con A 0, Oxford Bowls Club 3.
