Oxford City Stars are hoping for a bumper crowd to spur them on against leaders Chelmsford Chieftains in their last English National League South Division 1 home game of the season tonight (7.30).

It forms part of an important double-header for Stars in their battle against the drop as they visit third-placed Streatham Redskins tomorrow (6.45).

Player-coach Darren Elliott's side go into the weekend full of confidence after winning two games on the spin for the first time this season after beating Solents Devils and Bracknell Hornets.

Stars, who have no fresh injury worries, are two points clear of bottom club Cardiff Devils, and with their relegation rivals not playing this weekend, they will be hoping to increase the gap.

Meanwhile, it's been a year to remember for Oxford Stars Under 16s, as they sit top of English Junior League Under 16 Division 2.
