FLORENCE Park Community Centre A came out on top when they visited fellow Greene King ODDA Premier side Blackbird Bar.

Park raced into a 4-0 lead, thanks to Tina Hamilton, Angie Godfrey, Clare Bywaters and Angie Pointin.

Jayne Godfrey and Chris Thompson reduced the arrears, but a 2-1 pairs win gave Florence Park a 6-3 success.

Park’s B side, from Section 1, fought back from 3-0 down against visiting Premier side New Inn.

Carol Bowman, Jacky Merritt and Dawn Allsopp levelled the match, but New Inn pinched it 5-4 after edging the pairs 2-1.

Vikings Social Club A had no such worries in their all-Section 1 clash at home to Donnington Community Centre.

Lisa James, Chris Gerkin and Debbie Stevens gave them a 3-0 lead.

Although Lorraine Singleton pulled one back, Tina Walton and Clare Williams, plus a 2-1 success in the pairs saw Vikings run out 7-2 winners.
