SWIMMER James Jurkiewicz believes he can make a final at Glasgow 2014.

The 22-year-old, who graduated from Oxford University this summer, competes for Guernsey in the 50m, 100m and 200m backstroke events.

Jurkiewicz begins his campaign tomorrow morning in the 100m heats.

Although no Oxfordshire bowler will be competing at the games, the county is represented off the rink.

Oxford City & County member Gail Gilkes is England’s women’s team manager.
