GIRLS' CLUB MATCHES

EMILY Ong helped Banbury hammer Freeland by 69 runs in the Under 15 Lady Taverners Twenty20.

Ong made 80 not out and Lucy Hunter 50 not out in Banbury’s 147-0.

Amy Freeman and Ong then both claimed 2-2 as Freeland were all out for 78.

Banbury will now play Newport (South Wales).

CHARLBURY edged out visitors Aston Rowant by three runs in the Oxfordshire Under 13 League.

Miranda Edwards (17) and Georgia Brown (15) helped Charlbury to 137-8, with Marita Clarke taking 2-15.

Rowant closed on 134-4, despite Rowena Hearn’s quickfire 16.
