EDDIE Pepperell made an early start this morning to complete a tidy opening round at the BMW PGA Championship.
Storms at Wentworth yesterday disrupted the schedule at the European Tour's flagship event and meant the Abingdon golfer could only complete 12 holes.
A run of four successive birdies on the front nine saw Pepperell reach three-under par when play was suspended.
The 23-year-old resumed at 7.15am to play the final six holes, where two birdies and two bogeys saw him sign for a three-under par 69 and a share of 14th place.
Pepperell, who finished just two shots behind a play-off for last year's title, begins his second round at 10.45am.
