Jade Saunders led the way with five golds as City of Oxford continued their excellent form in the Wycombe Level 3 Sprint Meet.

She touched home first in the 16 years’ 50m and 100m backstroke, 50m breaststroke, 50m butterfly and 50m freestyle.

And she added to the medal tally with silver in the 100m freestyle.

Saunders provided the individual highlight as City racked up 14 golds, 12 silvers and 18 bronze medals.

Megan Smit swam to a golden treble in the 10 years’ 50m backstroke, 100m freestyle and 100m butterfly, as well as taking silver in the 50m butterfly.

And Lauren Menzel struck double gold in the 15 years’ 50m and 100m backstroke, and also won four bronzes in the 50m butterfly, 50m freestyle, 50m and 100m breaststroke.

Headington School broke a five-year-old national record in the IAPS (Independent Association of Prep Schools) national finals at the K2 Leisure Centre, Crawley.

The under 10 relay team of Safiya Sillah, Numa Shah, Olivia Mahony and Jemima Gibbs won the relay in a time of 1min 1.40secs.
