REECE Chamdal is flying the flag for Oxfordshire at the Butterfly English Schools’ Championships in Doncaster today.
The Cooper School, Bicester’ pupil made the national finals during a season that has also seen him win the under 12 and under 13 southern region qualifying tournaments for next month’s English championships.
Kidlington Forum member Chamdal sparked his interest in the sport two years ago by playing in a neighbour’s garage.
This season, he was the fourth top scorer in Oxford & District League Division 3.
FORUM G beat Vikings D 398-336 to win the Oxford League’s Aubrey Hughes Handicap Shield.
Forum’s Jake East, Kavan Warrender and Matt Simmonds had a start of 15 points against Tom Bowden, Huw Morgan and John Tremayne, but didn’t need any help, wrapping it up before the doubles.
