Fans who bet on Mickey Lewis to become the next Oxford United manager are due to be celebrating tonight, whatever the result against Cheltenham Town.
The fixture is the 49-year-old’s tenth in temporary charge, six weeks after Chris Wilder left the club.
Several bookmakers deem a caretaker to be the new permanent manager once they get into double figures, so will be paying out providing Lewis selects the team this evening.
Punters could have got odds of 7-2 on him shortly after Wilder’s departure in January.
