BILLIARDS: Ashton's hopes suffer a setback
ASHTON’S title hopes took a knock when they lost 2-1 at home to Fieldside in the Gentworks Oxford & District League.
Mike Chapman (+80) and Simon Aries (-70) won for Fieldside, with only Callum Vinall (+30), who had two breaks above 20, keeping Ashton four points clear at the top.

Thame A 3, Thame B 0; Eynsham A 1, New Club 2; Oxford Bowls 0, Cowley Con Club A 3; Ashton 1, Fieldside 2; Cowley Con Club B 2, Riley B 1.
