Oxford Ladies won back the Inter-Area 5-a-side Pro Plumb Shield at Didcot Conservative Club, writes PETE EWINS.

They captured the crown by topping the group with 12 points after beating Reading (8), Witney (7) and Wycombe (3).

Wallingford A won the men’s 7s competition, beating Reading in the final.

Oxford finished bottom in Reading’s group, despite Keith Sheard picking up the highest break award with 17,350.

Oxford’s Lewis Stratford came from behind to win the under 25s competition with victory over Northampton’s Stephen Coleman.

Stratford lost the first leg 8,170-2,760, but rallied with a break of 12,590 on his break to take the title, notching the highest break award in the process.

In the semi-finals, Stratford beat Adam Ingram 2-0 and Coleman saw off Phil McFarland 2-0.
