Darren Purse has become the latest former Oxford United player to apply for the vacant manager's position.
The 36-year-old's CV has been sent into the club, joining ex-U's Dean Windass and David Rush, who wants to be considered for a coaching role, in the process.
Purse has his UEFA 'A' licence and is studying for a Diploma of Football Management at St George's Park in Burton.
The centre back joined Calor League Premier Division side Chesham United last month after a spell playing in Finland with IFK Mariehamn.
Purse made 72 appearances for United before moving to Birmingham City in a £700,000 deal in February 1998.
