BANBURY Under 18s reached the fifth round of the RFU National Plate with a 21-12 victory at Aylesbury.

Hugh Saar snaffled an interception try, while Ed Harrison went over before the break, Alex Cox converting both for a 14-7 lead.

Kallum Dixey smashed over for Cox to convert and although Aylesbury scored again, Banbury held on.

Banbury made it four straight wins in Oxfordshire Under 16 League Division 1 with a 49-20 success at Witney.

Despite playing in fits and starts, Banbury scored nine tries through Caleb Shepherd (3), Jack Taylor (2), Jake Anderson, Reece Lines, George Grieve and Luca Catania. Jack Briggs slotted two conversions.

Bicester were also in rampant form in Division 2, winning 43-5 at home to Oxford Harlequins.

Lewis Foy led the way with a brace of tries, while Mark Smith, Stan Brown, Cameron Davies, Ed Allport and George Newman also crossed over.

Christian Mann kicked four conversions.

Banbury Under 15s finished strongly to snatch a 33-26 home win over Marlow.

Jake Peters (2), Tarquin Hathaway, Charlie Scott and Rory Shaw scored tries, with Peters converting three and Marcus Saar one.
