Tower Hill Ladies progressed through to the second round of the Oxfordshire Women’s Cup with an unconvincing 2-1 victory at Benson Lionesses.
Tower Hill struggled to get their passing game going and squandered numerous chances in front of goal.
They took the lead close to half- time following a goalmouth scramble, with Lisa Freeman finishing.
Tower Hill made it 2-0 via a speculative shot from Sarah Snowdon which evaded the Benson keeper.
There was a nervous last ten minutes for Tower Hill when Benson pulled one back through Chelsey Newport.
But they held on and now meet Mansfield Road on January 19.
