Aimee O’Connor made it three after the break, but Thame soon reduced the deficit through Bexx O’Shea before Shannon Bennell brought the hosts back to within one goal from the penalty spot after Holly Marriott had handled in the area.

But despite their efforts, Thame were unable to find a way through and Chinnor hung on for their third successive victory.

Vickey Harrold gave Moretonville a third-minute lead direct from a corner but couldn’t prevent her side from going down to a 5-1 defeat at home to Bloxham.

Second-half goals from Ollie Brown and Heidi Miles gave Oxford Bluebirds a 4-2 home win over Swindon Spitfires.

The sides were level at the interval with Georgina Tayman and Kiera Isaac scoring for Bluebirds. Mya Knight and Sarah Uzzell were on target for Swindon.

An Alice Thorby hat-trick helped Crowmarsh get back to winning ways in the Under 12 section, beating Tower Hill Vixens 5-1 away from home, with both sides agreeing to play the game with only eight players a side.

Olivia O’Burne and Nancy Cammell were also on target for the visitors, though the home team did find the net in the second half with a spectacular effort from Millie Hartwell.

Wantage picked up their first points of the campaign with a 1-0 away win over Stonesfield Strikers in the Under 11 league.
