Banbury United’s four-match winning run ended with a 3-1 defeat at Hungerford Town in the Premier Division of the Calor League.
The Puritans led through Dominic Lawless’s third goal in two games, and were handed a great opportunity to double the lead when Kynan Isaac was fouled in the area.
However, Adeyinka Talabi missed the target with his spot-kick and it proved costly as dreadful defensive errors allowed Bradley Gray (42 & 43 minutes) and Stefan Brown (83) to give the hosts victory.
