OXFORDSHIRE SENIOR LEAGUE

PAUL Coles’s maiden hat-trick helped Chalgrove hammer visiting Enstone 16-0 in the first round of the Presidents Cup.

Coles netted four times, while Enstone finished the match with nine players due to injury.

Nick Skiller, Tim Cox, Simon Godfrey and Matt Howitt scored braces, the latter firing in the goal of the game from 20 yards.

Craig Wiltshire (pen), Ricky Armstrong (pen), Jamie Foy and James Quainton completed the rout.

Riverside were also emphatic winners, triumphing 7-1 at home to Horspath.

Stephen Walsh fired Riverside ahead, but Paul Cooper equalised with a penalty.

Second half goals from Paul Brough (2), Aaron Armstrong, Louis George, Jerome McCalmon and Carly Bloomfield sealed it.

Two late strikes from Ben Dawe earned Launton Sports a 4-1 victory at Kidlington Old Boys Nick Allsworth and Nick Neal put Launton 2-0 up, but Kristian Thomas’s free-kick had given Kidlington hope.

Max Dunmall fired an extra-time winner as Kidlington Res won 3-2 at Marston Saints.

Danny Mason put Kidlington ahead with a free-kick, with Jake Cooper equalising.

Jamie Fisher made it 2-1 after Marston failed to clear a corner, but Dan Fraser levlled late in normal time.

Neil Lockhart’s goal earned OUP a 1-0 victory at Bletchingdon.

The beleagured hosts had seven players pull out before the match and then saw Craig Hanlon, Kyle Harris and Callum Lloyd suffer early injuries.

Laurence Caro’s brace helped Broughton & North Newington win 6-1 at home to North Oxford.

Steve Norman, Danny Hastie, Michael Bolton and Lewis Mitchell also scored, with sub Max Palmer grabbing a consolation for North Oxford.

Max Smith’s solitary strike saw Middleton Cheney win 1-0 at home to Freeland.

TWO goals apiece from Dom White and Lewis Stayte fired Stonesfield Res to a 5-2 home victory over Bletchingdon Res in the Clarendon Cup first round.

Bletchingdon led 1-0 and 2-1 thanks to Paul Faulkner and Warren Jones, James Cook equalising.

But Stonesfield came on strong, with Stayte’s double coming either side of two well-taken White penalties.

STEVE Gardiner’s solo goal earned Charlton a 1-0 victory over Yarnton in Division 1.

Charlton’s keeper Terry Bagnall produced some great saves to deny Yarnton after the break.

The match was played at Charlton as Yarnton’s new pavilion is still six weeks from completion.

Jamie Hodges’s 30-yard wonder strike proved in vain as Eynsham Res lost 2-1 at home to Mansfield Road Res in Division 2.

Richard Edmondson and Kimmy Tangwright won it for Mansfield Road.
Mark Rielly followed up a rebound to give Adderbury Park Res a 1-0 success at Freeland Res and top spot in the table.

NORTH Oxford Res kick-started their Division 3 campaign with a 5-0 home win over Broughton & North Newington Res.

Luke Trotman (2), Leigh Pantin, Aaron Taylor and supersub Abdi Omar netted for North.

They were denied further goals by Broughton keeper Darren Wyatt’s brilliant display.

Dan Normington’s brace helped Horspath Res beat visiting Watlington Res 4-1.

Simon Evans and James Beesly also netted for Horspath, with Watlington’s Keith Woolfson having made it 3-1.
