Conor Taylor was the star of the show as Shrivenham boosted their OCA League Division 1 title hopes with a 43-run victory away to Broughton & North Newington on Saturday.

With title rivals Westbury losing at Garsington, the win took Shrivenham top of the pile with two games left.

Taylor hit 92 and Alex Kill 84 as Shrivenham rattled up 288-7.

Broughton made a fist of their run chase, Olly Evans scoring 66 in their 245, but the defeat confirmed their relegation back to Division 2.

Broughton 8pts, Shrivenham 30 Westbury crashed to a 56-run defeat at Garsington, despite 115 from Tom Gurney.

The home side posted 260-8, Jefter Andrews top-scoring with 75.

Carl Palmer and Steve Richardson then took three wickets apiece as Westbury slumped to 204 all out. Garsington 30, Westbury 9 Minster Lovell stay third following a 39-run win at home to local rivals Charlbury.

Jack Simpson (79no) and Charlie Fisher (56) combined to take Minster to 203-8, before Eddie Dunn took a five-wicket haul (5-41) as Charlbury were bowled out for 164, Ben Geeson-Brown hitting 61.

Minster Lovell 30, Charlbury 7 East & West Hendred were relegated after a three-wicket defeat against Hook Norton.

Hendred were all out for 133, before Adam Webb (35no) and Tim Lunel (33) led Hooky to 134-7.

East & West Hendred 5, Hook Norton 28 Cowley Internationals clinched the Division 2 crown with a six-wicket victory away to second-placed Great Horwood.

A superb 80 not out from Dale Armitage and 53 from Stuart Parker set Horwood on their way, but Ayaz Khan took a hat-trick in 4-34 to restrict them to 215-8.

Cowley made a poor start, but a two-part match-winning partnership between Ric-hard Burton (88no) and Asif Shah (65) took the game away from Horwood.

Shah was knocked out in a collision with a Horwood bowler, but returned to take Cowley to the brink of victory. Burton and Afzaal Hussain saw Cowley to 216-4 and the title.

Great Horwood 7, Cowley Internationals 29 Faringdon lifted their outside promotion quest with a crushing nine-wicket home win over Winslow Town.

Andy Liddiard, Mike Hume and Rob Owen took three wickets apiece as Winslow were shot out for 68, before Faringdon eased to 69-1.

Faringdon 30, Winslow Tn 0 Stonesfield crushed Marsh Gibbon by 90 runs. Andy Crawford (89) and Tim Wyatt (80) took Stonesfield to 258-7, and then Tom Gubbins claimed 4-55 and Ed Oakley 3-26 as Marsh Gibbon were bowled out for 168, despite 68 from Matt Mead.

Stonesfield 30, Marsh Gibbon 6 Clifton Hampden’s Richard Beard top-scored with 60 to help his side to a 72-run win at Chipping Norton.

Ian Widdows (51) was the only decent contribution in Chippy’s 124 all out as they chased down Clifton’s 196-6.

Chipping Norton 5, Clifton Hampden 29 Aaron Huish claimed five wickets to help Tetsworth to a 77-run victory over Watlington. Tetsworth had posted 173 all out, Rommel Foster hitting 68 and Aaron Huish 31.

Huish then claimed 5-30 as Watlington were shot out for 96.

Tetsworth 29, Watlington 6 Combe kept alive their outside hopes of the title as they saw off hosts Wantage by 21 runs.

Robbie Nicholson smashed 118, Chris Moore 88 not out and Julian Chaundy 60 as Combe amassed 278-2.

Nicholson then returned the expensive figures of 3-84, but Wantage finished just short on 257-9, despite 94 from David Spencer.

Wantage 6, Combe 29 Veteran Jason Seacole scored an unbeaten century for Witney Swifts, but it was all in vain as hosts Westcott won by four wickets.

Seacole’s 102 not out, plus 58 from Sam Cross, took Swifts to 261-4.

But Nick Raynor (99) and Alimar Khan (81) led Westcott to 262-6 and victory.

Westcott 27, Witney Swifts 8 Neil Lawrence claimed 6-21 to inspire already-relegated Britwell Salome to their first victory of the season.

Britwell have had a miserable campaign, but saw off visitors Fringford by four wickets.

Batting first, Fringford were all out for 144, before Adam McConkey hit 59 not out to seal the win for Britwell at 147-6.

Britwell Salome 30, Fringford 5 IT was celebration time for Radley after a stunning display with bat and ball from Billy Webb helped them clinch promotion from Division 3.

But hosts Chesterton made them fight all the way before the league leaders sealed a three-wicket victory.

The home side were all out for 172 as Webb took 4-23 with Graham White hitting a team top score of 56.

Webb then struck 73 and Mohammad Faruq 39 as Radley reached 173-7 to ensure they will be going up.

Radley now face a battle with west Oxfordshire side Combe to decide the destiny of the league crown.

Champions Eynsham won their 16th game out of 17 as they crushed Stanton St John Willows by eight wickets in Division 4.

Mark Weller took 5-10 as Willows were all out for 102, before Sam Jones hit 48 in Eynsham’s 104-2.

Eynsham 30pts, Stanton SJW 2 Wolvercote sealed the second promotion spot as they beat hosts Hailey by 50 runs.

The visitors posted 178-9, Tim MacIntyre top-scoring with 49. Jamie van Santen then took 5-27 and Richard Oliver 3-36 in Hailey’s 128.

Hailey 6, Wolvercote 29 A five wicket haul from Tom Crowe helped Wootton & Boars Hill to an eight-wicket win over Garsington 2nd, who were relegated as a result.

Crowe claimed 5-25 in Garsington’s 107 all out, before Shaun Morton hit 53 and Elliott Bennett 35 as Wootton reached 110-2.

Wootton 30, Garsington 2nd 2 Swinbrook saw off West Ilsley by 50 runs.

Tim Martin (47) and George Grace (41) helped Swinbrook to 253-9, and then James Snow took 5-45 as West Ilsley were bowled out for 203.

Swinbrook 30, West Ilsley 9 Deddington beat Charlbury 2nd by nine runs. Batting first, Deddington reached 166-6 as Hugh White top-scored with 47.

Dave Barnhill (4-35) and Samuel Redford (3-20) then combined to dismiss Charlbury for 157, despite an excellent 84 not out by Josh Hornsby.

Deddington 28, Charlbury 2nd 6 Kidlington wrapped up promotion from Division 5, despite a one-wicket defeat to Marcham.

Jimmy Ewers (70) and Chris East (51no) led Kidlington 202-5, but an excellent 88 not out from Tristan Barratt took Marcham to 203-9.

Kidlington 9, Marcham 27 Second-placed Kilkenny beat Uffington by 102 runs. Duncan Macdonald scored 67 not out, Jason Penn 51 and Kevin Finnemore 50 as Kilkenny rattled up 261-7. Kashif Hafeez then claimed 3-40 as Uffington were ousted for 159.

Kilkenny 30, Uffington 6 Hanborough thumped basement boys Great Horwood 2nd by 128 runs.

Matthew Neilsen hit 97 and Scott Akers 90 as Hanborough rattled up 281-9. Akers then claimed 4-6 to help dismiss the visitors for 153.

Hanborough 30, Great Horwood 2nd 7 Cassington Rescue, posted a 91-run home victory over Stanton Harcourt. James Righetti hit 103 in Cassington’s 261-9, before Daren Trinder claimed 5-21 as Stanton were all out for 170.

Cassington Rescue 30, Stanton Harcourt 7 In Division 6, the title race will go down to the wire as Risinghurst and Dorchester both won. Risinghurst edged out hosts Oxenford 2nd by three wickets.

Rahul Patel hit 84 in Oxenford’s 207 all out as Martin Kalyan took 5-46. In reply, Kalyan top-scored with 78 to lead his side to 208-7.

Oxenford 2nd 8, Risinghurst 30 Dorchester saw off Faringdon 2nd by 33 runs. Adrian Redhead top-scored with 82 in Dorchester’s 249-4, before Lawrence Belcher claimed 3-45 as Faringdon were bowled out for 216.

Dorchester 30, Faringdon 2nd 7 Chipping Norton’s Sam Evans had a weekend to remember as he scored centuries on successive days to lead his side to two crucial wins in their quest for promotion from Division 8.

Evans smashed 129 on Saturday away to Marcham 2nd, before adding 105 not out in Sunday’s home clash with Radley 2nd.

At Marcham, Chippy rattled up a massive 363-3 as Evans, Mark Grantham (87no), Dan Stafford (67) and Michael Tompkins (57no) made hay in the sunshine.

Marcham crashed to 103 all out in their reply to lose by 260 runs.

A day later, Evans’ brilliant 105 not out led Chippy to a seven-wicket home win over Radley.

The visitors were bowled out for 167, despite 55 from Kester Matthews and 54 from Darren Jones.

Evans then led Chippy to 169-3 in their reply.

Andy Walker hit 69 not out as Ducklington ran out three-wicket winners at home to Com-be 2nd.

Combe had posted 171-8 in their 45 overs, before Walker led Ducklington to 172-7.

Cowley Internationals 2nd thrashed Chesterton 2nd by 167 runs. Aizaz Khan top-scored with 56 in Cowley’s 225-8, Ami Mishra taking 6-48 for Chesterton.

The total proved way beyond the home side, who crashed to 58 all out as Idris Mohammed took 4-10 and Abdullah Saeed 4-39.

Chris Jackson hit 101 not out to see Broughton & North Newington 2nd to a one-wicket win at West Ilsley 2nd.

Earlier, Will Barnes had scored 107 to help Ilsley to 220 all out, only for Jackson to lead Broug-hton to 223-9 and a slender victory.

Steventon saw off visitors Kidlington 2nd by 18 runs in Division 7.

Stephen Thompson top-scored with 70 in Steventon’s 194-9, before Rushikesh Deshmukh captured 7-22 as Kidlington were dismissed for 176.

In Division 9, champions Witney Swifts 2nd crushed Eynsham 2nd by 137 runs.

Rob Pratley (80no) and Mark Horne (63no) led Swifts to 240-6.

Horne returned figures of 5-14 as Eynsham were shot out for 103.

Andy Worman took 5-32 to help Britwell Salome 2nd to a four-wicket win at Minster Lovell 3rd.

Minster posted 163 all out as Sean Hubbert top-scored with 45. Hassan Khushi then hit 53 to see Britwell to 166-6.

Ian Fieldwick’s haul of 6-34 was in vain for Garsington 3rd as they lost by 90 runs at home to Dorchester 2nd.

Dorchester posted 155 all out, before bowling out their hosts for 65.

Risinghurst 2nd all but sec-ured the Division 10 title thanks to a 120-run victory over Westcott 2nd.

Kyle Brookes hit 60 not out and Raj Kumar 56 as Risinghurst posted 221-4.

Matthew Lardner then took 4-28 as Westcott were restricted to 101-9 in reply.
