MIDDLETON Cheney began their Division 1 campaign with an emphatic 9-3 mauling of Enstone Sports, but it took them half an hour to break the deadlock when a Sam Matthews header looped in.
Trissy Salt bagged a hat-trick in a second-half which saw nine goals. Andrew Boyles (2), Josh Hart (2) and Steve Finch also found the net for the visitors.
Graham Berry scored two wonder-goals for Enstone and Daniel Cox also netted.
A fantastic individual effort from winger Mark McGrogen gave Charlton United a 1-0 opening day victory over Yarnton.
Eynsham got their campaign off to a flier with a 3-1 victory over Kidlington Old Boys.
Tom McCudden gave the hosts the lead from the penalty spot, but Kidlington levelled when Tony Skinner headed in a free-kick.
Will Morris restored the home side’s lead with a powerful shot into the roof of the net and Andy Glossop added the finishing touches when he prodded into an empty goal after McCudden had beaten the keeper.
