TIDDINGTON secured third place and promotion by beating Bletchley Town.

Sam Hollingshead, who took all ten wickets in a losing cause the previous week, had to settle for half that number as he collected 5-39.

Jude Ramanadanpulle (69) gave Town’s bowlers something to go at, as the hosts finished on 150-9, but Will Cooper (61no) and Will Goodman (54no) led Tiddington to 151-1.

Abingdon Vale thrashed Bledlow Village by 104 runs.

Jordan Ford (46) and Henry Pickford (33) batted well, but Joffy Cummings rode his luck in making 32 as Vale closed on 221-8, their highest total of the season.

Matthew Pearce picked up 4-43 for Bledlow, but was out-bowled by Vale’s Paul White, who took 4-20 in the visitors’ 117 all out.

Cropredy joined Abingdon in making their highest score of the summer, their 230-9 dec at home to Aston Rowant 2nd narrowly surpassing the 228 they managed against the same team in July.

Jamie Jennings hit 71 and Joe Fox 55, while Chris Leaney claimed 5-98.

Rowant were then rumbled for 128, with only Jonny Atkins (40) putting up much of a fight.

Mark Strong made it 11 wickets against Challow & Childrey this season by taking 5-45 as Oxford & Bletchingdon Nondescripts won by 40 runs.

Nondies made 184 before being bowled out in their final over. Robbie Compston (39), Jon Guthrie (36) and Adam Samiullah (35) all got starts, while Aussie all rounder Luke Stutter took 4-40.

Pat Bryan’s 42 gave Challow hope, but Strong was too good for half their batsmen and they were rolled over for 144.
